T-Mobile and Walmart Announce Wallet-Friendly, No Contract 4G Plan
Even with the four major carriers each offering something a little different in terms of plans, there are still hoards of users that really want a no-contract offering without sacrificing data speeds. It appears that T-Mo and Walmart may have the answer to this dilemma, as they’ve just announced a new data package for users that really don’t make calls that often. Here’s the lowdown:
- The plan is prepaid, at just $30 per month.
- Users get unlimited data up to 5GB, before it’s throttled by T-Mobile
- Unlimited texting
- 100 monthly calling minutes, $0.10 per extra minute
Along with the new plan, Walmart is now carrying six T-Mobile devices, including “the addition of Walmart’s first 4G prepaid handset.” It’s unclear if this will be an existing HSPA+ device on T-Mobile, or a new device offered exclusively by Walmart. More on this as it develops.
So, who’s excited about the new plan? Anyone going to switch from their older, more expensive plan to the new prepaid offering? Sound off in the comments! The full press release can also be found below.
