Images of RIM’s BlackBerry Messenger for Android Leak Online

We’ve been expecting Research in Motion’s BlackBerry Messenger application for Android for more than a few months now, however things finally look to be coming to a head.  TechnoBuffalo has received what appears to be some of the first images of the messaging client ahead of RIM’s big  BlackBerry DevCon.  The annual conference takes place on October 18th and looks to feature more than just a little bit of Android.

We have to wonder whether or not an official Android app could ultimately open the door to more people leaving RIM behind.  Some of you have indicated over the last few years that BBM was one of the features that kept you clinging to a BlackBerry device.  Are you still pining for the old client or have you fully transitioned over to Android’s offerings?
