AT&T Announces Samsung DoubleTime

AT&T have just unveiled another Android collaboration with Samsung, the unique (dare we say ‘cute’) DoubleTime. Running Android 2.2 (oops!) and featuring specs that include a 600MHz processor and 3.2-megapixel camera, we totally expect this one to be centered around the experience and not the hardware.

We don’t have a price or launch date to share with you just yet but we certainly hope it’s not much more than $49.99 with a two-year agreement.  Oh, and considering the pink and white color scheme, we don’t imagine you’ll see too many dudes with this one.  A low-cost alternative to the HTC Rhyme?

Hardware for the Samsung DoubleTime:

  • UMTS 850/1900/2100
  • GSM 850/900/1800/1900
  • Processor Qualcomm 600 MHz
  • Onboard Memory Supports 260MB
  • Android 2.2 (Froyo)
  • microSD™ memory card supports up to 32GB (2GB microSD card included)
  • 3.2” full touch screen display with 320 x 480 and 480 x 320 (HVGA) resolution
