Rockstar Announces Grand Theft Auto III for Select Android Devices

Ready for your “Wow, that makes me feel old” moment of the day?  Rockstar Games’ runaway hit console title Grand Theft Auto III is now ten years old.  To help commemorate the anniversary, the developers have announced that the classic game is coming to select Android devices this fall.  The list of supported phones and tablets isn’t very long so we’re hoping to see it expand over time.  However, if you do have one of the following Android products, then it will soon be time to put on your best ‘Claude’ and start working your way through the criminal underworld of Liberty City.

  • Droid X2
  • HTC Evo 2 (EVO 3D, perhaps?)
  • LG Optimus 2X
  • Motorola Atrix
  • Samsung Galaxy S2 (Hope for the U.S versions!)
  • Acer Iconia
  • Asus Eee Pad
  • Motorola Xoom
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Damn, it seems like high end dual-core phones only = No Bionic either.

The Evo and Galaxy S2 aren’t Tegra 2 devices.

Since the Optimus 2x is listed, should I assume it will work on my G2x?
