Straight Talk by TracFone adds second Android phone to lineup with LG Optimus Q

While not exactly a name synonymous with the latest technology and gadgets, Straight Talk, which is a branch of TracFone, has added a second Android phone to their lineup. The LG Optimus Q has been slated to the lower-end carrier for $179.99 when paired up with the company’s $45 monthly plan, and comes with:

  • Android 2.3 Gingerbread
  • 3.2-inch screen
  • 3-megapixel camera
  • Slide-out Qwerty keyboard
The device slightly outshines its carrier cousin in specs, but is still well nestled in the area of “low- to mid-range”. Also, while Straight Talk functions off of Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint Nextel networks, the Android devices run only on Sprint’s network, thanks to a deal between the two companies.
