HTC Launching Quad-Core Tablet at MWC? (Update – it’s called Quatro)
UPDATE: No sooner had we hit “post” on this article than we received a notification from a reliable source of our own. According to our guy, the tablet is in fact a real deal and it will will be known as the Quatro. The Mobile World Congress announcement was also confirmed as was the integration of stylus support a la Flyer and Jetstream.
HTC, often considered one of the more amazing and high class tech brands in the world, has been recently tied to rumors of a first ever quad-core smartphone. Let’s add another rumor to the mix as we’re hearing tales of HTC planning to launch an Ice Cream Sandwich quad-core tablet as well.
DigiTimes is reporting that HTC will launch an Nvidia Tegra 3-powered tablet at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2012, along with 2 new quad-core Android phones. Keep in mind that DigiTimes is often pretty accurate although they are at times off the mark. Still, given that ASUS recently introduced their first ever Android 4.0 and Quad-core tablet with an expected December launch, it makes sense to imagine HTC is readying their own models.
If HTC Flyer or Jetstream doesn’t impress you, then perhaps the quad-core tablet will blow your mind. Share your thoughts about the tablet in the comment box below.
