Sega announces ChuChu Rocket for Android
SEGA today announced that ChuChu Rocket! is now available for Android devices running 1.6 and above. The nostalgic Sega Dreamcast title is 99¢ and brings more than 500 single player puzzles along for the ride. Just like the decade-old original, ChuChu Rocket! has players trying to guide the ChuChus (mice) to a waiting rocket ship, while at the same time, avoiding bottomless pits and evil cats. Should you find yourself wanting a bit of competition, you can also play up to three computer opponents.
“ChuChu Rocket! has become one of our most popular and well-received titles on the App Store, so it was an easy decision to bring it to the many SEGA fans on the Android Marketplace,” said Haruki Satomi, Senior Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “We look forward to bringing this classic puzzler to even more mobile platforms, introducing it to an even wider audience, in the coming months!”
A free version of ChuChu Rocket is expected in early 2012, likely with a bit of in-app advertising.
