Telstra opens Androidland; becomes the Willy Wonka of Android

Someone pinch me because I must be dreaming! Australian telecommunications and media company Telstra has become the Willy Wonka of Android and opened up what may be the greatest store EVAR — Androidland! Designed by Telstra in collaboration with Google and handset makers Samsung, HTC, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and LG, Androidland is the Android equivalent of the Apple store (if equivalent meant 1000 times MOAR AWESOME!)

Androidland is not only a place to shop, but also a place to learn. Androidland features huge displays, games, apps, and many other interactive ways to learn about Android and the devices that run it. Enjoy a tour around the world in the Google Earth flight simulator or simply relax under the pixel tree while you try out a few handsets. Androidland embodies the essence of Android with its fun, open landscape — and did I mention the inside smells like Gingerbread!

I think it’s time for me to go visit my distant uncle who just happens to live in the land down under.

Check out the video and links below for the awesome experience that is Androidland.
