T-Mobile kicking off “4G Super Sale” December 17, offering down payment rebates on all phones
T-Mobile’s 4G Wonderland continues its holiday promotions by kicking off the “4G Super Sale” December 17. For two days only (Dec. 17 & 18), T-Mobile will be offering any phone or select mobile broadband device for $0 down after a mail-in rebate card. The deal is open to all new customers who sign up for a two-year agreement on a qualifying T-Mobile Unlimited Value plan or any existing customer who is eligible for an upgrade. The deal is only available at participating T-Mobile retail stores and will give customers the opportunity to grab a great device at a low cost.
“We want to make the best data devices accessible to all, and what could be better than being able to find the right device to give a loved one at a great price?” – John Clelland, senior vice president of marketing
This is a great opportunity for anyone who’s been looking to sign up with T-Mobile, but like just about everything in life — it has its fine print:
- Equipment installment plans: On approved credit and 0 percent APR. Down payment and unfinanced portion required at purchase. Remaining balance paid in 20 monthly installments. Total post-rebate price of each device equals down payment amount plus monthly payment amount times 20.
- Devices must be supported with the following data requirements: voice phones: 200 MB data; most smartphones: 2 GB data; 42 Mbps devices (Amaze and GalaxyS II): 5 GB data.
So, as long as you meet their requirements, and have enough money for a down payment (which will get reimbursed via mail-in rebate card), you can get yourself a sweet device — which you will then finish paying for through 20 easy monthly installments. That makes it sound a tad less appealing but it’s still a perfect fit for those that can’t afford to dish out hundreds of dollars in one foul swoop. Take a look at some devices and how the payments would break down:
Another thing to consider before jumping on a 4G device is whether or not T-Mobile’s HSPA+ 4G network is even available in your area. If this sounds like something you may be interested in, you can read the full press release below and learn more by following the link to T-Mobile’s site. Cheers!
