Meizu planning to launch quad-core MX in 2012?

According to Chinese blog Techorz, Meizu is readying a killer Android device for the new year. Not much is known, but the device, which is being referred to as the Meizu MX, is said to be packing a Samsung Exynos 4210 quad-core processor and Ice Cream  Sandwich. This is reportedly coming straight from J. Wong, the CEO of Meizu. He claims that the device will be released in May 2012.

That’s literally all we know at this point, and the device may never even see the light of day. Even if it does, it’s likely that only users in China will be able to get their hands on it. We’re just hoping that Meizu finds a way to fit a big battery into the device, so the processor doesn’t completely destroy the device from the start. More on this as it develops.

So are you excited for 2012? Do you think quad-core will be as popular as dual-core was in 2011? Drop a comment below!
