Corning to announce Gorilla Glass 2 at CES

As if Gorilla Glass weren’t already tough enough, Corning has announced plans to introduce Gorilla Glass 2, the latest in their line of ridiculously durable screens. It’s so tough and awesome, it’s on 575 products made by over 30 manufacturers around the world.

According to Corning, the newest iteration will be even tougher and more durable than before. However, we won’t know by how much until it’s announced at CES 2012.

This writer is thinking scratch tests with high efficiency lasers and nuclear fallout stress tests. What do you think? Be sure to sound off in the comments.
