Vimeo Launches Android Application at CES2012

Vimeo is the “home for videos you create” and they are finally releasing an Android application that will be free on the Android Market and Amazon App Store for Android.

Joe Schmidt, lead mobile developer says: “With mobile devices making up approximately 15 percent of our site traffic, we recognize the importance of expanding our platforms to allow people to access Vimeo from as many devices as possible.”

The new application should be available on the market today, allowing users to browse and watch the full range of videos on Vimeo. It will require Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) or newer.

We will update this post with a link to the Android Market, once the application is available.  Until then, feast your eye on these snazzy screenshots
