If you thought that HTC had gone all in on the high-end market and only planned on releasing top-notch Android devices, think again. Rumors landed online late last week for a yet-announced model called the HTC Primo which seems to aim for the mid-range market. Details for the Ice Cream Sandwich-powered handset point to a budget-friendly smartphone with a price point of around $250-$300 off contract.
Rumored HTC Primo specifications:
- Android 4.0 with Sense 4.0
- Beats Audio tech
- 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass
- Dual-core 1.0GHz processor
- 512MB RAM
- 5-megapixel camera (720p HD video) with dual-shutter (video/still images same time)
Keep in mind that the phone you are looking at above this post is only a mockup created by Stuff.tv and not the real deal. We’ll find out soon enough what this guy actually looks like as it’s rumored to be on the agenda for HTC’s Mobile World Congress announcements.
