Samsung announces Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy S 4.2 MediaPlayer

Samsung announces Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy S 4.2 MediaPlayer

A few hours ago, a leaked shot confirmed that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Note 10.1 at Mobile World Congress, but we didn’t know that it will be announced along with the Samsung Galaxy S Wi-Fi Player. The tablet is part of the Galaxy Note family, featuring Samsung’s S Pen stylus for drawing, note-taking, highlighting, and more.

Aside from the S Pen, the Note 10.1 is nearly identical in terms of specs to the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 that was announced yesterday. We’re still trying to figure out what Samsung is trying to do here by introducing tablets that aren’t much different from their predecessors.

Moving along, Samsung is also keeping an eye on their media player line, as they introduced the Samsung Galaxy S 4.2 Wi-Fi MediaPlayer. It comes with a 1GHz processor, 4.2-inch WVGA screen, 2MP rear camera, and a front-facing VGA camera. It will be launched in 8GB and 16GB versions, and both will feature microSD expansion up to 32GB. It’s running on Gingerbread, sadly, but it has Android Market support to make up for it. This player will be an amazing device for people who are looking for a media player for fun and entertainment.

No word on launch dates for either of these devices, but we don’t think it’ll be that far off. So who’s excited by the Galaxy Note 10.1? Anyone planning to grab a Galaxy S 4.2 MediaPlayer? Sound off in the comments!
