HTCDev releases new APIs for Android developers

HTCDev has announced, via their blog, that they have released a handful of APIs for Android developers.  Timed with the company’s Mobile World Congress announcements of the HTC One and the Developer Preview, these new tools give devs access to some of HTC’s standout features.

The new APIs include:

  • Beats Audio API
  • Lockscreen API
  • Mobile Device Management API
  • And soon a HTC MediaLink HD API

Should you developers want to enhance your media player or app with Beats Audio technology or tie it into the lockscreen  with quick access then this is where you will start.  Additionally, the APIs also help developers to take advantage of dual screen capabilities using Wireless HDMI out to a television.

According to HTCDev, the OpenSense SDK will be updated in the next few weeks so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that as well.
