LG Optimus S finally receiving Gingerbread update
When Sprint launched the Optimus S, we were somewhat disappointed to learn that it was packing Froyo. It seems someone reminded Sprint that the phone needs an update, as they’re finally planning to release the update on April 4th. Of course, it’ll be free of bugs that plague predictive text, charging, and USB mass storage.
The image above lists all the enhancements and bug fixes, and we expect Optimus S users to receive the update in the next few days. It’s good to see that Sprint isn’t leaving its low-end devices in the dust with older Android versions.
So, are you excited about getting Gingerbread on your Optimus S? Have you already rooted and gotten your hands on something better? Sound off in the comments below!
