Instagram v1.0 now live on the Google Play Store

Here’s a quick note to let you all know that Instagram is now available on the Google Play Store for free with a minimum requirement running Android 2.2 (Froyo). Quite popular on that “other” OS, it’s nice to see this latest addition come to Android. I have to say, the user interface is quite appealing, check out these screenshots below.

Instagram was launched in October 2010 by co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. Instagram is a fast, beautiful and fun way to share your life with friends through a series of pictures. Simply snap a photo, then choose a filter to transform the look and feel. Pictures are shared on Instagram, and can be easily uploaded to other social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr.

☆ 100% free custom designed filters and borders
☆ Lux works its magic by making your photos more vibrant and brings out details in your photos you couldn’t see before
☆ Instant sharing to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Foursquare (Flickr coming very soon)
☆ Interact with friends through giving & receiving likes and comments
☆ Works with Android versions 2.2 and above that support OpenGL ES 2
☆ Full front & back camera support
☆ And much much more…

Download it HERE! from the Google Play Store.

Nice simple app. However, it does not let me share with google +. I don’t do twitter, facebook or tmbler.

The app’s features are boring and limited for my uses.

If one wants a snap and go app then this might do. I want more though.

Why would I want my pictures to be odd blue, green, red colors???

My standard camera app takes clear, sharp, perfect pictures already.
