LG readying its “Galaxy S III killer”, the D1L

While we’re waiting for Samsung to announce their follow-up to the Galaxy S II smartphone, competitors are scrambling to create something even better.  Such is the case with LG who is said to be readying a “Galaxy S III killer” called the D1L.

According to Korean news site DDaily, the LG D1L will feature a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 chipset, a 4.7-inch 720p display, and run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.  Not exactly groundbreaking stuff here considering they’ve already announced some high-end stuff like the Optimus 4X HD. We’re curious to see what a D1L would offer that isn’t flagship enough for their quad-core phone however we should find out soon. DDaily tells us that the D1L should launch in May, right about the time some of their MWC phones begin hitting the street.
