We’re always ready for news about a new, inexpensive Android tablet. Today we found out about the Ematic eGlide XL Pro 2, a 10″ tablet [thankfully] running the latest Android v4.0. With a price of $219.99 it’s sure to catch the eyes of some bargain shoppers this summer. While it may not be the most powerful, (what do you expect for $220?) it still boasts the features required to make it a viable choice for the consumer. A front facing camera with microphone and hdmi output are welcomed additions to the device.

Ematic’s latest tablet includes a built-in three-axis gyroscope coupled with an accelerometer for advanced motion sensing such as full 3D rotation. It has a front-facing camera and voice recorder. Built-in Wi-Fi means Internet connectivity anywhere there’s a hotspot.
Ematic is also pleased to announce that EDAN (“Ematic Digital Assistant & Navigator”) is preloaded onto the eGlide XL Pro 2.
