Kyocera officially introduces Kyocera Hydro and Rise
Kyocera is a brand trying their best to somehow make a strong place in the smartphone market, like Samsung or Huawei, but they are still trying their very best. They brought the Kyocera Echo, a dual-screen phone to Sprint, which was actually not a success. Anyway, today at the CTIA, Kyocera officially launched two new smartphones, the Kyocera Hydro and the Kyocera Rise.
Well, you don’t need to be surprised because both devices are for people looking for a mid-range Android devices with good features, they are not here to compete with the mighty SGSIII or One X. Talking about the Hydro, it comes with a single-core 1GHz Snapdragon processor and 512MB of RAM, and it’s running on Android 4.0, which is somehow a good news. The device is designed to be water resistant, so daily life spills and drops of water wouldn’t hurt it.
- 1GHz Snapdragon processor (MSM8655)
- 512MB RAM
- 3.5″ HVGA 480×320 IPS LCD display
- 2GB ROM
- micro SD card support
- 3.2 megapixel camera w/ LED flash
- EV-DO Rev A and 1X Advanced
- WiFi (b/g/n)
- Bluetooth (2.1 + EDR)
I don’t know what Kyocera was thinking, but I am sure they didn’t have a ‘high-end’ device in their mind. Anyway, who’s planning to pick this device? Anyone?
