Google Drive offline expected in next few weeks
Google’s recently launched Google Drive should be getting offline support within the next few weeks, according to a high ranking member of the Chrome team. Google’s Senior Vice President of Chrome Sundar Pichai was asked a question on the topic at D10 about Chrome, his answer was:
It’s a natural evolution. Users like the familiarity. Sometimes wanting to be full-screen; if you’re watching YouTube or Netflix, you want to be immersed. It’s important to remember that we release a new version every six weeks; contrast that with Windows! Google Drive offline is coming five weeks from today.
Hopefully we will see it at the Google I/O, and without any doubt offline support is really a necessary feature. Anyway, are you using Google Drive and what are your thoughts about the upcoming feature, tell us in the comment box below.
