Sprint: EVO 4G LTE in store this Saturday, June 2

Sprint has issued a statement this afternoon which advises the wait is finally over for the EVO 4G LTE.  According to the carrier, the Android 4.0 smartphone will be available this coming Saturday, June 2.  Here’s the official announcement that is hitting the wires right now.

Great news! The wait is almost over! Sprint will begin selling HTC EVO 4G LTE for $199.99 in most retail channels (including www.sprint.com and 1-800-SPRINT1) this Saturday, June 2. Sprint retail stores will operate on regular business hours. We are excited to see our customers enjoying this latest generation of the award-winning EVO family.

So, were you able to sit patiently these last two weeks as you waited for the next EVO smartphone?  Was the slight delay enough to convince you to go with another handset or carrier instead?
