Dropbox doubles Pro plans, intros new 500GB option

Dropbox has announced they will be doubling the storage capacities for their Pro 50GB and 100GB plans later today, and introducing a new 500GB plan in the process.  Current Dropbox Pro users will automatically see their storage space bumped up without the any prompting or meddling.  What’s more, Dropbox is also giving Pro users a three-month Pro 100 trial plan to shared with a friend, family member or co-worker.

As of this writing, the pricing for the 500GB plan has yet to be announced.  Currently, these are the options available to users of Pro accounts:

  • Pro 100GB (formerly 50GB) – $9.99/month or $99.00/year
  • Pro 200GB (formerly 100GB) – $19.99/month or $199.00/year
