HTC releases kernel source for EVO 4G LTE
If you’ve got an EVO 4G LTE and you’re either a dev or a user who loves flashing ROMs, then it’s time to throw your hands in the air. HTC has (finally) released the source code for the kernel on this device, and it’s a great thing.
While most users (as in about 99% of users) don’t have a reason to run out and download this themselves, developers are going to want this ASAP. The kernel source code allows devs to make sure hardware / software works correctly on their custom ROMs. Meaning, soon, rooted users who flash ROMs will see updates to their favorite ROM with no bugs.
Those who need the kernel source can get it from the link below. Chances are, most users will want to check things out in the xda-forums.
