POLL: Do you use third party Facebook, Twitter apps?

POLL: Do you use third party Facebook, Twitter apps?

We’re going to go out on a limb here and assume that a vast majority of you have Android phones and/or tablets.  What’s more, we’re pretty confident that a lot of you use at least one social network to keep up with friends, family, celebrities, news outlets, and more.  Putting two and two together, we know many of you use mobile apps to follow along on Facebook and Twitter.

Today, we’re asking whether or not you are using the official apps for those social networks.  Do you prefer the ‘real’ apps or do you like third party stuff better?  As always, drop your answer in the poll below and then head to the comments to defend your decision.  For those who do use third party apps, let us know which you like best!

I find the official Facebook app to be the best overall experience for Facebook, but I use TweetDeck for Twitter as it’s more visually appealing and I love the dark theme since I use Twitter mostly at night. Never been too impressed with either of the official Facebook/Twitter apps and I hope they both improve significantly over time.

Tweetdeck was my fav because I can quickly scroll through all those tweets and posts, but it hasn’t been updated in quite a while. Flipboard is good, but for speed reading (like Tweetdeck) I have been using Social Scope.

I like both TweetDeck and Seesmic, but Facebook seems to have designed their APIs to only allow 3rd party apps to get some posts, but not all. Only the official app lets me see posts from my wife. Boo Facebook!

I have tried Tweetdeck, Seesmic and a whole lot more. I currently am using Friendcaster and Tweetcaster. They work and have awesome widgets.

I use TweetDeck (which I truly love – desktop and Android) for Twitter but am pissed that Twitter has OWNED it and has no support for it whatsoever… so it seems.

I despise FB on the lappy much less the cell. Not using it on the cell UNLESS… there’s munchies, man or money attached.
