In the market for a new smartphone but don’t know what to do with it?  If you’re considering an HTC for your next device, then there’s a new option to consider.  HTC has unveiled a new Trade-Up program which could net you upwards of $300 (Visa Prepaid Card) cash back for that old Droid X.  The process is quite simple and essentially amounts to the following:

  1. Get a quote here your current phone’s value
  2. Buy a new HTC handset
  3. Mail in your old (working) smartphone
  4. Handset is checked and condition is confirmed
  5. Receive money

We tried two different phone models just to see what we might be looking at.  On the lower end of things, the HTC EVO 4G (Sprint) is worth $20 in good working condition.  As for a 32GB Samsung Galaxy S III from T-Mobile, well that would bring in $315.  Yeah, right?  We thought this thing maxed at $300. Nevertheless, quotes are held for 30 days from the time you enter in your details.
