Sony Playstation Mobile now available for Android devices

The Sony PlayStation Mobile store is open and ready for your hard-earned money.  Available today, Wednesday October 3, a number of Android devices can now install the mobile gaming app and access games and other certified content.  Not entirely unlike the PlayStation stuff we saw in handsets like the Xperia Play, this is a more open environment where developers and partners can work together for a bigger ecosystem.

The store can be installed on about two dozen Android devices from Sony, as well as a smattering of HTC products (HTC One V, S,  X).  A word of caution, however, that HTC devices are not able to access PlayStation Mobile at this time.  It is expected that these, and other models, will soon have the full-on experience.
