Google to announce Nexus 10, Nexus 4, and updated Nexus 7

In addition to the rumored LG Nexus 4 smartphone, Google will announce a high-end Nexus 10 tablet later this week at its October 29 event.  The details, which have been confirmed by CNET, first showed up on The Next Web over the weekend.  What’s more, there should also be an updated version of the Nexus 7 announced this week, most likely the 32GB model that’s been leaked all over the place as of late.  With three models taking the stage on October 29 it certainly falls in line with the whole “The Playground is Open” teaser.

A quick breakdown of the three models anticipated next week:

The Nexus 4 will be a modified version of the Optimus G, a quad-core Snapdragon handset with 2GB RAM, a 4.7-inch 1280×768 display, 16GB internal storage, and 8-megapixel camera.   CNET is reporting that the phone will not be an LTE device, matching up with details of an unlocked GSM model through Google Play.

The Nexus 10 will be a 10.1-inch Samsung “super” tablet with a screen resolution of 2560×1600 or roughly 299 pixels per inch.   Said to be priced in line with other Samsung devices, it’s expected that this will balance out the lower-cost Nexus 7.  Speaking of which…

Google will be announcing two versions of their Nexus 7 tablet with one having 3G connectivity and the other likely the 32GB iteration.  Pricing is not yet known but there’s plenty of time between now and next Tuesday!
