Pandora announces 4.0 for Android for coming weeks

Pandora today announced that they’ve finally put together a new version of their streaming music application.  As the biggest update to the app since it launched for smartphones, it has taken more than a year of designing, planning, and testing.  Pandora 4.0 is expected to arrive for Android in the coming weeks where it will introduce a brand new way of discovering and sharing your favorite music.

New features of Pandora 4.0 include:

  • Improved Listening Features – Easier than ever to create new stations, add variety to your stations, and browse our massive selection of more than 400 genre stations curated by our team of music experts.
  • Social Sharing and Discovery – Easily share your music discoveries and stations with friends on Pandora, Facebook and Twitter.
  • Artist and Track Pages – Added millions of artist, album, and track pages that let you learn more about the music you love – complete with full lyrics, related artists, and musicological traits from the Music Genome Project.
  • Musical Profile – As you use Pandora, your profile serves as a detailed timeline of the music you’ve liked or bookmarked and the stations you’ve created – a great way to rediscover the music you loved. Choose to make your profile public…

Keep your eyes peeled for the new version of Pandora and let us know what you think.  If you have not tried the music app yet, be sure to grab a download now and look for the update notification.
