Social calendar app UpTo comes to Android

After having become one of the more popular apps of its kind on iOS, UpTo has brought its social-based calendar to Android. With this free title, users can look ahead to the future and see not only what they have on the agenda, but also what their co-workers, friends and family members will be doing. How? Magic.  Well, that and a bit of social networking integration.

In addition to these features, UpTo also allows for users to search and follow more than 800 event streams, including sporting events, television premiers, and local business events.

Our only complaint so far? No tablet support.

ZipCar launches Android App to Help You Own a Car, One Hour at a Time

I first saw the Zip Car model when visiting home in Boston, and I thought it was a great idea, but it was lacking a mobile way to reserve a vehicle. Oh sure, if you own an iPhone, you could use the app there, but since I like having control of the things I own, I of course use Android. Well, Zip Car heard the feedback of no mobile app on the Android platform, and have released a beta app for use with Google’s mobile OS.
