Sony today announced that minor updates are being deployed to the Xperia P, Xperia U, Xperia go and Xperia sola. Each device is staying with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, however the updates include bug fixes and performance enhancements.
The Ice Cream Sandwich firmware includes improvements to: stability, WiFi, tethering/portable hotspot, camera (capture and playback), NFC and Messaging.
It may take a few days or weeks before the various models get their update as each has to deal with carrier and regional barriers. As for Jelly Bean updates for Sony devices, we’re advised to sit tight and keep checking the Sony blog.
