T-Mobile to adjust insurance rates for handset in 2013

T-Mobile will adjust the deductible for insured cell phones in 2013, according to new details uncovered by Phandroid. The monthly rates will stay the same for devices and T-Mobile will also introduce a new Tier E for products when the changes take effect March 17.

The leaked document tells us that the deductible will go up for most devices however the low-end stuff will see it drop from $25 to $20. It is not immediately clear where each phone falls in terms of tiers, however the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note II will fit into the new Tier E. You’ll want to check with your T-Mobile sales rep to find out what your monthly rate and deductible are when you get a new device.
