Best Buy to offer FREE Droid Razr Maxx from Dec. 9-22

Best Buy is set to bring back one of its popular Black Friday promotions this coming Sunday when it offers the Droid Razr Maxx free to new subscribers.  The Verizon smartphone normally retails for $149.99 so this is a pretty good deal if you ask us. Note that this is a two-week promotion that runs from December 9 – 22 and that it does require a qualified service agreement.

Please stop calling these offers “free”. Yes, the carrier and the store calls it free, but AG is a journalistic source and your job is to guide consumers through the jungle of misleading addformation and call this deal what it is: a “no money down subsidized phone”. It’s STILL more expensive than buying a similar phone outright on a non-subsidized carrier. Thank you!
