LG E940 bound for AT&T with 1080p HD display?

LG E940 bound for AT&T with 1080p HD display?

AT&T could be a few weeks away from announcing its next big LG smartphone, according to rumors and benchmarks surfacing this week. Tapped with an E940 model number, the Android 4.1.2 handset looks to offer a true HD 1920×1080 pixel HD display and Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with Adreno 320 GPU. Presumably this is the Snapdragon S4 Pro,  quad-core CPU capable of 4G LTE support.

Considering the Optimus G is just getting underway, it seems a bit premature for a successor to be announced. We’re thinking along the lines of a larger counterpart to compliment the current model. Going further, we would not be surprised if AT&T merely announced the smartphone at CES and listed it as “coming soon” or something equally vague.
