LG celebrates 10 million sales of Optimus L series

LG is celebrating a new milestone for the Optimus L series of Android smartphones this week, announcing 10 million in sales thus far. No, it’s not on the level of Samsung’s Galaxy S III but it’s certainly commendable nonetheless. As we gather from CEO Dr. Jong-seok Par, LG is quite pleased with the figure and and seems pleased with the strategies.

“This milestone demonstrates the importance of delivering smartphones with stylish design, comparative size of display and enhanced UX features. Whereas other manufacturers are putting all their eggs into a one-size-fits-all phone, our strategy is to develop mobile products for all types of customers according to their individual needs and lifestyles.”

Available in roughly 50 markets around the world, the Optimus L series is comprised of the Optimus L3, Optimus L5, Optimus L7, and Optimus L9.

Factoring in the Optimus G and Nexus 4, LG could end the year with another milestone. We’d love to hear how many of the Pure Google phones have been sold but aren’t holding our breath.

Great news, but also a lot much less than the other South Korean Smartphone-manufacturer Samsung!
