Samsung readying new audio docking station, rumor suggests

Samsung is prepping a next-generation audio docking station, according to a source close to SamMobile. Presumably making its debut at either CES or Mobile World Congress, the new stations look to connect via microUSB. Details are pretty much par for the course in a device such as this and include a charging port, 3.5mm audio input, Bluetooth 3.0, and power/volume buttons.

Specifications:

  • USB Audio Class
  • Universal dock station
  • Bluetooth version 3.0
  • Power: 6W (3W x 2)
  • Power volume button
  • Charging Port
  • 3.5mm Audio Plug-in

would prefer wireless charging but i guess then you’d play audio through bluetooth. then that defeats the purpose of having a docking station
