New details for an Asus ME172V suggest we should soon be in for a low-cost 7-inch Android tablet. Specifications, as obtained by Notebook Italia, are said to include a 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, and a VIA WM8950 processor. Powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the price point is tipped to be €129 to €149, or higher than the rumored $99 Nexus tablet. With CES breathing down our neck we should find out very shortly whether this stuff is accurate.
