Archos launches 97 Titanium HD, a tablet with killing display

Archos is a well know brand in USA and in last few years, they have launched a lot of good Android tablets. The last tablet they launched was the Archos 80 Cobalt, and today they are back with another one which is known as Archos 97 Titanium HD. It is under Archos Elements brand, and its most amazing feature is a display with resolution of 2048×1536, impressive, no?

1-3-camerasWell, it’s running on Android 4.1 featuring a Dual Core ARM Cortex A9 running at 1.6 GHz with a Quadcore Mali 400 GPU, a 5MP camera on the back and 2MP on front for video chatting, 1GB RAM, and the display is a 9.7 inches retina  IPS screen.

The tablet seems really good, although release date and price is unknown at the moment, though we hope to hear it soon. So, are you interested in this tablet? Share your thoughts with us in the comment box below.

I agree and I’m interested, mainly because I think the Android development community would be interested and might have a field day (I mean that in a good way) with this iPad doppleganger.

My earlier Archos 70 internet tablet still has the time killing Android 2.2 Phone OS, thanks to the world famous Archos after sales. People beware!

How is this any different than the CUBE U9GT V, or the CHUWI V99 which has the same retina display but a 2 meg camera

Looks too much like an iPad mini. They would be sued in to time.

They might be sued but they would win. Archos made tablets before Apple made any i products at all. Also it carefully avoids the “Trade Dress” of the iPad.

I must say the same: Never, never a product from Archos again. Very bad software they can`t fix and no support at all. Do not buy Archos. Be aware!
