DigiTimes: Android-based notebooks (Androidbook) could arrive later this year

Yes – we’re reporting on another DigiTimes article, so… buyer beware. Reportedly, Google will introduce an Android-based notebook, or “Androidbook” later this year. Rumored for either the third or fourth quarter of the year, this project could gain momentum now that Sundar Pichai is in charge of Chrome and Android initiatives.

It remains unclear how this could differ from having something like an Asus Transformer Prime with a keyboard dock. Our gut tells us it will come in the cost and that it may not be removable from the keyboard.
