Sprint today announced the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S 3 in a “beautiful new Amethyst Purple color”. Offered in 16GB internal storage capacity only, the handset can now be snagged for a mere $99.99 (after a $50 mail-in rebate) with new contracts or eligible upgrades. For what it’s worth, all of Sprint’s 16GB models are only $99.99 with qualified plans.

If you are considering switching carriers to Sprint, the provider is also offering an extra $100 instant savings through a port-in credit. This means you can take your phone number to Sprint and grab one of the most popular Android phones of all time at no cost!
