PopCap Games intros Bejewled Blitz for Android

PopCap Games and Electronic Arts yesterday announced their latest mobile game, Bejeweled Blitz for Android devices. Available as a free game in the Google Play Store, it’s everything you know and love in the classic match-three game, and more.

As part of the launch, all players will receive 100,000 coins just for downloading and getting started. What’s more, there are a number of Android-exclusive features to be found.

Exclusive Android-Only Features:

  • 100,000 coins provided upon download
  • Free Rare Gems – use the Phoenix Prism, Kanga Ruby, Moonstone, and other ultra-powerful gems to send your score skyward

    Why in the h€ll did Electronic Arts limit countries??
    That’s actually beyond stupid.. =)
    We can buy apps for example but we can’t donwload a free one?
    Really bright decision.. o_O

    The rare gems are not really free. You have to use the coins you earn during play to use them. Not a bad game overall. I still have a place in my heart for Bejeweled 2 (including the music by Skaven who wrote PC demo music back in the 90’s – Unreality, 2nd Unreality, etc) but for a quick 1 minute game, Bejeweled Blitz is perfect for when you don’t have the time to play a longer round of Bejeweled.
