AT&T scores exclusive Samsung Galaxy S4 Active

AT&T announced on Thursday that it has scored exclusive rights to the U.S. version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. Priced at $199.99 with a two-year service agreement, the waterproof and dust proof smartphone is available on June 21. AT&T will begin taking pre-orders on June 14 at www.att.com/galaxys4active; The Galaxy S 4 Active will be available in two colors: Urban Gray and Dive Blue.

The Galaxy S 4 Active is a high-performance smartphonewith a stylish, protective design to keep up with the demands of everyday life.  It’s truly summer-proof,” said Jeff Bradley, senior vice president – Devices and Developer Services, AT&T.

Specifications are largely the same as the Samsung Galaxy S4, and include a quad-core processor, 5-inch FHD TFT display, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Thanks to the IP67 certification, the S4 Active is able to work underwater; a new Aqua Mode is designed for taking pictures in pools and water.
