HTC intros entry-level Desire 200
HTC confirmed on Tuesday that the entry-level Desire 200 will soon arrive at various carriers around the globe. Specifications are a few steps behind the typical Android so we’re inclined to believe that developing countries and areas are the key demographic here.
Powered by “Android with HTC Sense” we might assume an older version is in order, maybe even 2.3 Gingerbread? Nevertheless, hardware includes a 3.5-inch display, single-core 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, and 5-megapixel rear camera.
Pricing is not yet known however we’d expect something very inexpensive for the HTC Desire 200. While you might scoff at the hardware, imagine this being your first taste of internet or mobile phone in a market that previously didn’t have access to either. It’s more than enough for first-time users in developing lands.
