U.S. Cellular expects Moto X in August

U.S. Cellular has started taking pre-orders for the Moto X smartphone with expectations of shipping later this month (August). Priced at $199.99 with a two-year service agreement, the handset is available in Woven Black or Woven White.

To sweeten the deal a bit. U.S. Cellular is tossing in a $59.99 Motorola Boom headset for free to anyone who pre-orders the device online. But wait, there’s more! The carrier is currently running a promotion which sees an additional $75 credit for switching from another wireless provider (Switcher Bonus). All told, the Moto X could cost $124.99 and come with a $60 accessory.

CHICAGO (August 1, 2013) – U.S. Cellular (NYSE: USM) announces that Moto X is available for customers to preorder at uscellular.com/motox, and it will be available for purchase later this month. Moto X is offered in Woven White and Woven Black and is $199.99 with an instant rebate. In addition, U.S. Cellular exclusively is offering a $59.99 Motorola Boom headset for free to anyone who pre-orders the device online.
