HTC’s first full ad with Robert Downey Jr. goes online

After teasing followers on Instagram, Vine, and YouTube, HTC has finally released the full first ad featuring Robert Downey Jr. The two-minute commercial shows the new pitchman tossing out various things to which the letters HTC might represent.

The ad is playful in tone and features nary a mention of any smartphones or products. The idea here is to inspire consumers and have fun with them, hopefully leading to a new trust and interaction with the brand.

As the first in a three-part approach to marketing this summer, HTC will wait to tell us about the hardware and software firsts for which they are responsible. For now, we’re here to enjoy ourselves and follow along as HTC could mean whatever we want.
