Samsung launching a smartwatch known as Galaxy Gear?
Recently, we heard that Samsung is working on a smartwatch, and now it seems that we will see it soon at Samsung’s Unpacked event on September 4 in Berlin. SAMMobile is reporting that Samsung’s upcoming watch will be known as the Galaxy Gear and it might feature following specs:
- CPU: Samsung Exynos 4212 dual core 1.5GHz
- GPU: ARM Mali-400 MP4
- RAM: 1GB
- Display: 320×320 (3cm×3cm – 1.67-inches) AMOLED (not sure if it’s flexible)
- Camera: 2 Megapixel
- Connectivity: Bluetooth, NFC
This is what we know about the smartwatch right now, and it is just yet another big fat rumor so take it with a grain of salt. Actually, it’s a little hard to believe, a smartwatch with a 1GB RAM and a dual-core processor? Is Samsung planning to fly planes with it? I don’t think so. However, if it is real then we might see it in Berlin next month along with the Note III.
Do you think Samsung should launch a smartwatch? If yes then will you buy one? Tell us about it in the comment box below.
