HURRY! Amazon giving away nearly $40 in free apps today!

Amazon, in celebrating the one-year anniversary of the European debut of the Appstore, is giving away a bunch of free apps and games. Hurry, though, as this deal only lasts for one day. Instead of the normal free app of the day, Amazon is dishing out ten of them, cumulatively worth almost $40.

To mark the first year anniversary of the EU Appstore, Amazon is offering a free selection of previously popular Free App of the Day apps valued around $40. The offer will run in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Japan

Featured apps in the bundle include:

  • Jamie’s 20 Minute Meals
  • Drawing Pad
  • Angry Birds (Ad-Free)
  • PAC-MAN HD (Kindle Tablet Edition)
  • World of Goo
  • Shazam Encore
  • SwiftKey
  • Calengoo
  • Sprinkle
  • Paper Camera

An updated Android Test Market mysteriously appeared on Tech in 10’s Galaxy S Vibrant today. The result was the ability to download non-released and updated versions of a few of the core Android Apps like the Music Player and Gallery.
