Evidence of gold HTC One springs up

New photos emerging today suggest that HTC is working on a gold version of the HTC One. The images come courtesy of a reputable Sina Weibo source and show the flagship handset decked in the illustrious  tones. The date stamp shows August 12 so it’s pretty clear that HTC has been wanting to do this for some time now; this not a reactionary move to Apple’s iPhone 5S.

It’s unclear whether this would be offered at any particular U.S. carrier or if HTC would opt to release the phone direct to consumers. It’s also possible that Best Buy could potentially carry the gold HTC One.
