LG ‘Hammerhead’ Nexus 5 boasts Snapdragon 800, 1080p display
New benchmarks found on GFXBench have surfaced, adding new details to the Nexus 5 saga. An LG device operating under the code name of “Hammerhead” has been shown to run a KRS71D version of Android – likely 4.4 KitKat.
Details in the benchmarks show a quad-core 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, and a 1080p HD display.
With multiple references to Google, KeyLimePie, and Nexus 5, it certainly has the makings of the Nexus 5 smartphone. Then again we must remember that these sort of things can be faked – and sometimes are.
The Nexus 5 is rumored to show up in the coming weeks, possibly in mid-October. Previous Nexus devices and releases of Android have fallen in the same time frame so we’re inclined to believe the same should happen in 2013.
