Google is offering 10GB of free Drive storage for anyone who signs into the now free Quickoffice mobile app before September 26, 2013. Indeed, this works for both the Android and the iOS client.

While we’re on the topic of free stuff, if you sign in to your Google Account from the new Quickoffice app for Android or iOS by September 26, 2013, an extra 10GB of Google Drive storage will be added to your account for two years (look for it in the next few weeks.)

As you see above, the storage amount is only good for two years and that you may need to wait a few days or weeks to see it added into your account. Assuming Google follows suit, your files will be available ongoing, even beyond the two year period.
